The National Association of Certified Inspectors (InterNACHI) released a website comparison of the 5 largest home inspection associations (3 national and 2 state).   Because more and more home buyers are using the internet to find their new homes, mortgages, and home inspectors, it is important that a home inspector's contact information and/or website can be found online by these home-buying consumers.  One of the best ways for inspectors to increase their online exposure and lead generation is to be a member of InterNACHI.   InterNACHI owns the three largest home inspection lead generators on the internet:  www.InspectorLocator.com , www.FindAnInspector.US, www.InspectorNow.com and www.InspectorSEEK.com.  InterNACHI.org alone gets over 10 million hits per month and InterNACHI continues to buy more and more websites, many of them covert (no mention of InterNACHI on the site).  

 

"Non-members who build their own websites are wasting their time and money, even if it's a nice website" said Nick Gromicko, Executive Director of InterNACHI.  "It's like building a nice pizza shop in the middle of the desert.  No one will find it.  You need roads and traffic to the pizza shop.  InterNACHI owns all the roads and and we're building more."  InterNACHI also owns the largest message board in the industry with over 260,000 topics.  "Many of our own members under value InterNACHI's indirect role in proliferating their contact information and/or websites.  They know their website gets them clients but don't know how their clients got to their website.  As more and more home-buying consumers use the internet to find their home inspectors, more and more consumers find InterNACHI members," said Gromicko.

 

One of the best ways to determine internet market share is to compare pages cached by Google.  InterNACHI has more than 190,000 pages in Google's cache, and this doesn't even include the members-only sections of InterNACHI.org, FindAnInspector.US, InspectorSEEK.com, InspectorLocator.com or covertly owned sites!  InterNACHI.org  alone is about 300 times larger than ASHI, NAHI, CREIA, and FABI's websites combined.
